We have re-designed this ski safari around Graubunden for skiers looking for both adventure and comfort. This would be an ideal trip for you after having done our Freeride training course, as we will go from huts to hotels on a multi-day journey.

Eastern Switzerland is full of off-piste jewels. If the wind comes from the northwest, Graubunden becomes a real spring of powder snow. The area is characterized by wooden valleys with large slopes on top, and the runs often reach an altitude of 3000 meters. Runs are often long, up to two hours of exquisite descent!

This trip combines skinning up a bit ( up to 3 hours for just 2 or 3 days), freeriding from the ski lifts, and occasionally travelling a little by bus or car. Most of it takes place in very wild areas, far away from the crowd. We will spend the nights in typical mountain huts and hotels.

This 5-day tour starts and will finish in Churwalden just near Lenzerheide. We will stay for the first 2 nights in a private apartment or small hotel in the region of Lenzerheide. we will explore the majestic Parpaner Rothorn with both open bowls as steep terrain. But the beautiful ski-area has more to offer. The large open forests in the valley, or the connection to Arosa for example. We can also take the car to smaller skistations in area. After full-day skiing we will have the well-deserved comfort of fresh clothing, a good meal and a hot shower.

On early Tuesday we will take the bus to Bergün. We will take the cablecar or funiculaire up the mountain for plenty of possibilities in this excellent terrain.
We will carry a little extra luggage with us for the next 3 nights, which we will spend in two different mountain huts. We will go with the flow of the group, build our day together, and improve technique while travelling on skis. The Kesch and Grialetsch Hütte will welcome us for our nights in the mountains. We will stay there all together in a cozy dormitory after enjoying a delicious cheese fondue or a different good but simple meal. At Thursday, we will step on our skis straight out from the hut and descend to Teufi. We take the bus to Davos and the Parsenn mountain train to the Weissfluhgipfel where we will ski down a beautiful valley to the Heimelihütte, a pristine place for our third night in altitude.

On Friday, we will continue off-piste skiing to Langwies, Arosa and Tschiertschen, where we will spend the early afternoon riding into a great forest back to Churwalden. We will arriving around 3 P.M to our cars where we will finish the week.

This freeride Safari is made of the most beautiful, challenging off-piste runs in eastern Grisons. A safe bet for your first multi-day journey on skis!
